As trading has become more complex and fast moving, the need for efficient data exchange has become ever more important. For the past 20 years Energy Traders Europe has developed industry wide standards to make data exchange quicker, safer and easier.
Those standards have been adopted across the industry and we maintain a vital role in keeping them updated. We have four standards:
eCM – Electronic Confirmation Matching
eRR – Electronic Regulatory Reporting
eSM – Electronic Settlement Matching
EFET – Communications standard
Service and/or system providers are encouraged to comply with these standards. This creates an interoperable situation in which companies may work with different service providers and/or systems without having to develop and maintain a different interface for each.
