Financial market regulation has become an increasingly complex part of energy traders’ daily work. At Energy Traders Europe we deal with the many regulatory developments, which aim to strengthen market integrity and transparency and to reduce systemic risk.
We work closely with policy makers and regulators, including in the European Commission, ACER and ESMA, to discuss how to ensure a robust and competitive regulatory framework in Europe.
We aim to support policy makers and political decision-makers in setting provisions prohibiting market abuse in electricity, gas, emission allowances, and related derivatives markets. We also seek to enhance transparency - including via publication requirements for fundamental data and inside information, data reporting regimes and market monitoring mechanisms for regulators and trading venues.
